I Know You From Somewhere
In celebration of a new episode tonight, I thought I should mention other Supernatural moments in television this week.
So, this Monday on How I Met Your Mother, Barney gets kicked out of his laser tag place. I was busy squeeing over the Lethal Weapon-ness of the exchange between him and the owner of the laser tag place, but I did manage to think, "Hmm, Laser Tag Guy looks familiar; where have I seen him before?". It wasn't until the end of the episode that it finally clicked when Laser Tag Guy started yelling at Barney for TP-ing the laser tag place, and the camera moved in for a close up. I literally went "WOAH! Is that URIEL?!?!?! It is!!!"; this makes that scene a gazillion times funnier. I think I didn't recognize him at first because he wasn't wearing the dark suit, and he had a little facial hair.
Then, on Wednesday's Life, Crews and Seever go to meet the sister of a murder victim at her job as a park ranger, and guess who shows up? It's Bela, with a shiny new American accent (except apparently she's an American who went to school in England, at Winchester University no less). She was on the side of good this time, and helped Crews and Seever save the day.
So, I guess what we can learn from this is that when angels die, they become owners of laser tag centers forced to put up with Barney Stinson for eternity, and instead of going to hell, thieves who make deals with crossroads demons are sent to the woods of southern California to serve as forest rangers, losing any previous accents they may have possessed.
