You're going to get through this, she thought to herself. You're a Harvelle. Pull yourself together.
Hell yeah you will, Jo. That’s my girl! (Well, Ellen’s. Because apparently fictional moms as fierce as this one have the power to strike fear in my heart over ownership claims.)
Seeing her mom in that empty kitchen, her face bruised thick with anxiety and exhaustion, made Jo want to yell and rage and smash things. Instead she'd run again in the middle of the night.
I love the imagery and I love Jo’s reaction. How is it that this story already feels almost as much about Ellen as it does about Bela and Jo?
"Not exactly," she said. "A bystander, kind of."
"Jo --"
"Don't worry, Mom. I'm not being stupid about it. I promise."I love ( ... )

I love what this says about Jo.
They rolled over and over, limbs curling around one another, searching for for leverage.
Careful, a double “for”!
They dug hands into hair, into the soft skin of asses and the bones of hips. They slid fingers over peaked nipples, across soft bellies, between sweat-damp thighs.
I love these sentences. They’re sort of unusual - honest and unadorned in a way fandom’s sex scenes don’t tend to be - but maybe all the more intimate and sensual for it. It makes the imagery really stark!
"A B?" Bela said, outraged.
You just made me laugh out loud - for real, not a lol - in the middle of a sex scene. It’s so perfectly them and so perfectly Bela. I love characterization in moments like these, when it’s not just insert X and Y on the page.
But Bela stiffened next to her and pulled away, rolling off the bed and making straight for the bathroom ( ... )

And I am so happy you liked this, truly! And to see this running commentary kind of response is just perfection. I greatly suspect, my dear, that there are only a limited number of people interested in Jo/Bela, and it makes my soul sing to know that you're one of them ( ... )

-- After Jo goes to see her mom, she tracks Bela down, bullies her into striking up a partnership again, and then helps save her from Hell. Possibly with help from Ellen, Bobby, Pamela, Rufus, and Tamara. And maaaaaybe those Winchester boys.
-- Bela gets all the way to New York before she turns around (though she stops to pick up her cat. and a briefcase of extremely valuable items stashed carefully in her apartment), and uses the bug she installed in Jo's phone to track her down. Shenanigans ensue.
-- They run into one another again and start up a supernatural detective agency. (Saving Bela from her deal is their first job. Unpaid, unfortunately, unless you count the potential loss of resources/knowledge/future earnings that not-doing-the-job would entail. Bela does count this.)

This is one of the reasons I love your fic. There's always more to the story than meets the eye.
It makes me so gleeful to hear you liked reading the push-me-pull-me complicated and fraught nature of Jo and Bela's relationship! That's actually the main draw of Bela/Jo, for me. I like them written differently, it's a nice change of pace and it's interesting to see different angles explored, BUT. That antagonism specifically between them is awesome ( ... )

RachelRachelRachelRachel oh Scin, I love Rachel so hard. I think my favourite part is that she's not exactly human; it's awesome to see someone a little bit supernatural herself actually walk her own path between the hunting world, the regular world, and the supernatural world. Monsters aren't generally given that kind of freedom on the show.
Oh Bela, you are so heart-breakingly self-destructive sometimes.I want to say it's why she and Dean understand each other, except that they don't, not beyond that impulse if even that far, because their drive comes from such different places. Still. "Takes one to know one ( ... )

ASLDGKLKJSDKGHSDAS Dean and Veronica sniping at one another! Eeeee! I love it to pieces and I wish there was moooore. What does Veronica think of Sam?
Well, I love Chuck anyway, so it wasn't like it was a hardship for me to catch it! But she was excellent and fun and gorgeous! If you get the chance, definitely check it out.

Veronica thinks that Sam doesn't seem like bad people, but she's a wary SOB and anyway, she judges him hard by the company he keeps. She may revise that opinion upwards just a little bit when she finds out that Sam and Dean are brothers. But mostly, she's just suspicious, because that's our girl!
