Podfic readers and volunteers!

Thanks again for getting involved, all of you. I'm really excited to say that we're moving forward! I'm going to try to keep this post short (ETA: That plan could have gone better?), since I'll be moving us over to a community dedicated to the task just as soon as I stop getting a 503 error every time I try to create it. We'll do all of our planning, check-ins, etc there.

The tentative timeline has us opening up the masterlist for a round of single claims in mid-to-late October (we had some fabulous volunteers come forward to start collecting permissions, so if you were an author in round one, be sure to get back to them when they contact you!), before we open it up to multiples. Posting would start almost immediately and run through to the end of January. This is to accommodate the busy time of year and also some of the readers, who needed the extra time for one reason or another.

Note that if you're concerned that you're going to have accessibility issues surrounding any of this, please feel that you can contact me. This challenge will be explicitly allowing for accommodations and there will be a later post dedicated to that discussion.

New readers! I know that some mof you are feeling nervous or unsure about how to read at all and I'd encourage you to go play around in the audiofic archive for a while to get a sense for the diversity of voices that exist in our community. amplificathon also hosted the Amplirecathon earlier in the year, if you want somewhere a little bit less overwhelming to start.

Questions? Comments? Concerns? Squee?
