Artist: brokenbacktango
Recipient: adictd2life
Rating: PG-13-ish
Warnings: None
Pairing: Pamela Barnes/Anna Milton
Prompt: Pamela realizes that not all angels are dicks.
Notes: I'm sorry this is so late! I didn't mean to make you wait in suspense. It's been a hectic couple of months but I hope you enjoy this! I wanted to make this a bit more fun but everything I touch turns to angst. Ultimately I think there's a happy ending to be had.
Also: I'm out of practice with photo-editing so excuse the less than stellar art. It's all the about the music, anyway ;)

1. Welcome to the Psychic Network! by The Psychic Fiend Network

Her mother didn't like to boast about her only daughter Pamela being a psychic and that's fine with Pam. Hell, Pam doesn't really like the burning incense and black candles either, but people are much more willing to pay for a psychic with these frills, so diginity be damned. Girl's gotta eat.

2. The Charging Sky by Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins

If I run uphill, I'm out of breath
If I spend all my money, I've got no money left
If I place all my chips on only one bet, I'm all in
And it's a surefire bet I'm going to die
So I'm taking up praying on Sunday nights
And it's not that I believe in your all might
But I might as well
As insurance or bail

Pamela's never been too keen on religion. In all her years seeing things normal people can't, she'd never encountered anything that really made her believe in God. Psychics and the church have never exactly mixed and besides, there's proof that demons are out there and she doesn't see any feathered guardians falling over themselves to stop them.

Turns out it's hard to deny the existence of angels when her eyes get burned out of their sockets by some dick named Castiel. Life goes on, right? Sure. But count her out of the apocalyptic throw-down. Angels, demons, screw it all.

3. Let's Misbehave by Dawn Lambeth

There's something wild about you, child
That's so contagious
Let's be outrageous
Let's misbehave
When Adam won Eve's hand
He wouldn't stand for teasin'
He didn't care about those apples out of season

Pamela meets Anna Milton. She's beautiful, strong and in need of help. Pam's very, very willing to help. There's something a little different about her but Pam can't quite pin what it is. It's not important; what's important is getting her to have a little fun, and Pam definitely knows how to have fun.

4. Tattoo by Missy Raines and the New Hip

Into my skin your name I did tattoo
So part of me will always touch you
Your touch has changed my life
For always and for good
So I wear your name like a merit badge of love

Anna and Pam have grown close. Pam decides to celebrate with a little permanent decoration. She's pleased to discover Anna likes it.

5. Bicycle Named Heaven by Catie Curtis

If heaven had only loved me the way that I loved you
I'd have had freedom all around me like you do
I always want what I can't have
All I got is a photograph of you and heaven
You

Anna discovers who she is and to say that Pam isn't happy is a massive, eyes-burning-out-of-sockets-sized understatement. Anna lays her feelings out to Pam and is rejected. She's an angel and damn if Pam will get mixed up in that again. It was nice while it lasted.

6. Super Psychic by Delara

Call me crazy
Been raising hell lately
Looking through an empty vase
I see your face
Super psychic
I'm feeling kinda sick
Lost it just now
I'm a basket case
Look into the fire

Anna reaches out to Pam again, this time seeking her help. If an angel can't do it, Pam can't imagine what she can do... but in the end she agrees to help. She can't say no to Anna, even if she knows it can't end well.

7. The Well and the Lighthouse by Arcade Fire

I am serving time
All for a crime I did commit
You want the truth?
You know I'd do it all again
Left for dead, heaven is only in my head

Anna explains to Pam how she fell and why she's fighting the angels she stood beside for so long. It's not exactly what Pam expected.

8. The Big Guns by Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins

Sing mercy, sing mercy
Sing mercy on me
Let's pretend that everybody here wants peace
What have we done?
Why are we still chasing our own tails, and running
From the big guns?

It's not the brightest idea Pam's ever had, helping Anna. She's messing with things way bigger than her and they can't possibly win.

9. If You Want to Get to Heaven by Ozark Moutain Daredevils

I never thought it'd be so easy
I never though it'd be so fun
but I heard it in the alley
now I got it on the run
if you want to see an angel
you got to find it where it fell
if you want to get to heaven
you got to raise a little hell

Pam's beginning to have fun with this whole "rebel angel and super psychic versus the world" thing.

10. Heaven by Bettie Serveert

Someone oughta save me from salvation,
someone oughta see the things I've done.
They never would have given me this strange vocation,
sitting in this happy, holy sun.
I'm not the only one, who likes to get things done.

It couldn't last. The angels catch up with Anna and take her away. Pam can't stop them.

For the record, Pam wasn't suicidal. She certainly didn't think helping those damn Winchesters was going to get her killed. Against her every expectation, she ends up in Heaven. It's actually kinda nice, all things considered, except for one thing: it's missing a certain redhead. Pamela sets out to find her. When she does, they raise a little hell from the inside of Heaven itself.
