Sam was already a legend when he was just a baby. YED already had his eye on him from that far back, and I think that's what was meant by it. I think saving Dean is just Sam living up to his potential, pure and simple.

2.) When Dean feels like he's in some actual trouble (like worrying about his soul going to hell and all), he hides his emotions from Sam. All we know so far is Dean's curious about "what [it's] like down there." How do you think Dean's really feeling? Is he really as care-free as he acts in front of Sam? Is he viewing his journey down to hell as the next great adventure? Is he more scared than he's ever been? Or something else completely?I think Sam knows Dean best, and when he says that Dean is actually terrified, he hit the nail on the head. Dean's emotionally stunted nature is exhibited in the way he hides behind his sense of humor and "quirky habits". ( ... )

I think it'll have a lot to do in saving Dean's soul. Sam's been called the "Boy King", the "Antichrist" etc. Then in Sin City it's implied at the end that Ruby might actually be Lucifer, that what I got from the episode and that's what I think is going on. It'd make so much sense if Ruby is Lucifer, cause that'd explain why she has the power to help with Dean's deal. And then later in Bedtime Stories we learn someone else is the one holding Dean's soul. I'm thinking it's Ruby/Lucifer. It'd make sense. And Sam's status as Antichrist will probably be a key factor in saving Dean.

2.) When Dean feels like he's in some actual trouble (like worrying about his soul going to hell and all), he hides his emotions from Sam. Everything. As soon as he assumes his role of king, demons will start doing what he says. He can MAKE them let Dean out of the deal. Makes sense to me.

Is he viewing his journey down to hell as the next great adventure? Is he more scared than he's ever been? Or something else completely?I think Sam hit the nail on the head in Fresh Blood... Dean is terrified. Not only because of going to hell, but also because part of him really does think there's something wrong with Sam, and he knows that leaving him alone in the world is probably not the best thing for him ( ... )

You mean like King Tut? xD I dunno. Some of the demons seem to view Sammy as their messiah. So... does that make Sam the anti-Christ? Thinking makes my brain hurt. I don't want Sammy to be the anti-Christ. *hugs Puppy* *makes sad "girl wuvs her puppy and doesn't want you to take him away" eyes* ... I hope it has nothing to do with saving Dean's soul. I hope they can find a way to save Dean without having to make Sam evil or trade Sam for smokes or whatever... *HOPES*
