The second of my art posts for spn_gen_bigbang !  I was very chuffed to pick out poetartist and an installment of her wonderful imaginative AU Pie Verse.
It gave me the opportunity to try some Haida-style art (not strictly from the tribal area the fic is set in but I've loved the style for years). There was so much more I wanted to illustrate, the story is full of lovely imagery but sadly I ran out of time....

Thanks to reapertownusa for putting on this lovely challenge and single-handedly modding (is that a word?) us all!

As always, first is the banner to tempt you over to the Fic Masterpost HERE.  PDF download with art HERE!

This is going to be an image intensive post! There is nothing spoilery in the art as far as plot, just characters.

I did two portraits - one of Dean and one of Coyote (in one of his human incarnations).

First Coyote (pencil drawing coloured in GIMP)

In the background is a Haida-style coyote (drawn in black biro then coloured in GIMP)

Dean was done in the same way

His background is the harvest god Kokopelli

Also featured is the archer, so I also did a Haida-style version.

And icons and text divider just for the hell of it

Finally if you have lasted this long - wow, thank you!
Here are some of the pencil drawings:

References -
For Coyote - I largely made him up but he's kind of based on Tig from Sons of Anarchy.
Dean is from one of wolfpup2000 convention photos of Jensen looking pensive listening to a question.
The archer's outline was from rock art, coyote and kokopelli are both from photos found on Google images. Backgrounds and textures used - the one on banner is 062 by cloaks, the one used on coyote is one adrenalineshots gave me, kokopelli's background is a time lapse star photo of the Perseids found on Google, and the archer's is a metal table I took a photo of overlaid with a Nasa star photo.
