Photos. Name Tags. Gathering. Etc.
Hey everyone, how's it goin?
So the con is literally right around the corner and I had a couple questions/comments.
First, and I've asked this before, but I was wondering what types of cameras people are bringing? I've got a seat pretty far back but I'd still like some decent shots for my photo album.
On that note, anyone up for a photo sharing project? I know it's been done for some of the other cons and I thought it'd be cool for this one as well. I'd be willing to pull everything together and send them out to people - I've got a ton of DVD's I could use [or I can get CD's cheap if anyone has an issue with DVD's] so there'd be no issue with that or the packaging materials. Just shipping to wherever you're at and even with that I'd be willing to help out with whatever I can. Let me know what you think!
Secondly, I saw that dahliablue mentioned name tags so we'd be able to seek eachother out - which will be really awesome for me personally as I'll be all by my lonesome! - so this is what I came up with:
It's nothing fancy but I like it! On the rare chance of anyone else wanting one, I'd be more than happy to whip one up for you. ^_^
Thirdly, anybody up to a get together? Don't really have transportation if we go outside the hotel but I'd totally chip in for gas/fair if anyone wanted to do something. LOL, is it completely obvious I don't wanna be alone?
And last but not least, I'll be arriving at the airport on Saturday at 9 am, barring any airplane complications *fingers crossed* and I was wondering/hoping:
a. if anyone was willing to meet up with me? Maybe hang out and grab some breakfast from somewhere? I just hate being any where by myself. It's scary :|
b. if anyone had any suggestions about what I can do with my suitcase? I'm not actually going to be staying at the hotel, as I have an aunt who lives ten minutes away but she isn't coming to get me until later that night, so basically does anyone know if they have like, lockers? Or something? I'd even be willing to pay someone staying at the hotel like ten bucks to just let drop off my suitcase so I don't have to haul that heavy booty thing around. Any suggestions?
Anyway, I think that's it! I can't wait for this weekend! I definitely need something to cheer me up after the past month or two.
