Hi guys! This is just a friendly neighbourhood mod post reminding all you good people about spoiler cuts and how awesome they are. We haven't had any problems with spoilers being posted here (THANKS GUYS), but as the spoilerphobes among you will have noticed lately, the spoilers are EVERYWHERE. I'd hate to have people get spoiled by this community so this is just a reminder of what needs to be spoiler-cut.
Please remember that what you consider to be non-spoilery might not match what others think, so here is the rule for THIS community:
If it hasn't aired yet, it's a spoiler. This includes: episode titles (use the number of the episode if you're referring to it), promo pics, casting spoilers, promo vids, director's cuts, blurbs describing episodes, monsters of the week, summaries, sides, etc. These are ALL spoilers.
I have seen other communities around with less-stringent policies and that's their choice. BUT. The excuse 'if you can see it in a magazine or by turning the TV on, it's not a spoiler' does NOT work here, because hey, not everyone lives in America. I personally am NEVER going to encounter a spoiler for SPN by turning on my TV or opening a magazine, because my country is only showing season 2. :P
SO, remember, if you have a batch of icons featuring Castiel from an upcoming episode (I don't know what episode, I'm spoilerfree, this is just hypothetical), or a story featuring something Dean's going to do to Castiel in 4x19 or whatever, spoiler cuts are your friend! If in doubt, cut it. It's really easy to do and avoids a LOT of people getting angry with you.
