So as luck would have it, I missed my bus this morning and got to see that the new French cafe/ bakery by my place has opened up already! I got a croissant this morning that was lovely and would have drooled over their other pastries if I'd let myself. I'm assuming the owners were who was working this morning. They were both French and very nice. I got the impression that they haven't lived here long because he seemed surprised that it was starting to get dark so early. They had a good stream of customers too.
Does anyone want to try it out this Saturday? They have a number of tables, one of which was probably big enough for us. It looks like they have coffee. They don't have a sign up yet, but they had a coffee machine and a small selection of cold drinks. I"m not sure this will turn into somewhere we'd go every week, but it might be fun.
