Begging John to give up the werewolf and stay for Sammy was the only time Dean ever tried to bully his father into anything. That night, Dad made a two-layer chocolate cake and real spaghetti. Sammy grinned like he’d gotten a new set of keys to the Impala. A family died while Sammy smiled, mauled by "wild animals." Dean read it in the paper left on his plate at breakfast, folded open to the picture of a young boy with floppy hair and bangs. He had the same birthday as Sam.
