“You’re sure?” Crowley didn’t usually question people looking to make deals. A soul is a soul. He’d certainly made frivolous deals in the past, but this one... One might say that it took the cake.
“Of course I’m sure!” the woman insisted. “You think I haven’t given this serious thought?”
“All right then, if we’re clear on the terms-”
“Yeah, yeah,” she had the audacity to interrupt, “ten years. Blah blah blah.”
She grabbed his jacket lapels with no thought for the wrinkling and dragged him into a sloppy kiss. Deal complete: one soul for the recipe for decent fruitcake.
