Henry stared out of the diner window, watching the townsfolk hurry by and he could hardly believe his eyes.
“You okay there, gramps?” Dean enquired, and Henry wasn’t sure whether to be offended or pleased by the nickname his eldest grandson had bestowed upon him.
“I am at a loss to understand the way people dress now,” he explained with a sigh, “it’s bad enough that men dress like farm laborers,” he glanced disdainfully at his grandson’s plaid shirt and jeans, “but for women to wear the same things, well, it’s unladylike.”
Dean chuckled “welcome to the twenty-first century, gramps.”
