“What are you watching?” exclaimed Sam.
“Better Homes, it offers helpful tips for beautifying your living areas. This segment is about cushions.”
“Why?”
“Cushions can be both supportive and aesthetically pleasing.”
“And why do you care about cushions?”
“I thought maybe if Dean felt at home he would feel more at ease.”
“Cas that’s….. throw cushions aren’t going to help Dean stay on the straight and narrow.”
Cas sighed. “I suppose not. What do you suggest?”
“Put your feet up and drink his,” Sam suggested, offering Cas his beer. “Dean needs his friends. Stay awhile okay?”
Cas nodded and complied.

“One more piece of advice,” instructed Sam. “Don’t let Dean catch you watching home improvement shows. Unless it’s the one of the ones where they knock down walls with hammers. Those ones he’s okay with. Avoid anything about color schemes or cushions.”
Cas nodded and flicked to a sports channel.
“Hey, you watching the game?” Dean asked, plonking down beside Cas and brazenly taking his beer from Cas’ hand, “You don’t mind do you?”
Cas looked affronted on principal, the beverage had been a gift from Sam, but it made Dean happy and that was all he wanted. “Go ahead.”
