It is pretty clear he picked it up from Dean. I mean, in the first couple of seasons, Dean was the one who was always saying Dude. From doing these, I've realised Sam says it more in the later seasons.

That's cool. I wish I had time to rewatch this entire series. Most episodes I haven't actually seen more than once because I always watched it on TV.

And I'm glad you like the Dude gifs. They are fun. =)
