PIMPIN' SATURDAY: PIMP THAT UNDERAPPRECIATED FIC
I haven't done one of these in a while, mainly because I ran out of stuff to pimp. This is one I've wanted to do for quite some time, but was hesitant to. It's a touchy subject, one I think many of us feel uncomfortable with, but I'm going to put it out there in bold: REVIEWS
Sometimes they just don't happen at all (or much) even when you've worked your butt off, researched, learned an obscure dialect of Klingon, etc. and dammit, it sucks!
You put a part of yourself out there when you write and I know there are sites on lj that like to slam on writers for feeling 'entitled' to reviews and I don't think this is about that at all. So, do you have a fic or fics that you feel haven't gotten the attention they deserve? Pimp them in the comments. They don't even have to be SPN, but you'll probably have a better chance of grabbing readers here if they are. They can also be as angst filled and dark as can be. In other words, standard rules don't apply. Do make sure you note if you are looking for concrit. Otherwise, my only rule is: assume this is cheerleading only. Not everyone is up for concrit and there is NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. Putting your stuff out there is hard enough. Also, note any pairings. Some of us are very specific about pairings we're interested in reading and it's nothing personal.
I'll even throw out the first pitch in case anyone is feeling shy. Also, I'll be very busy over the weekend, but hope to catch up on many of these as I have time :)
