A little drabble I wrote a while ago, looking at the Impala's first day with the Winchesters.

Mary broaches the subject again when they're a couple of blocks from her house. "Did somebody already buy the van?" she frowns.
"No," John shrugs, feeling a little guilty.
"So -"
"I decided this one's a better buy. I mean - they're reliable. Good in the snow. You know? Big trunk, lots of room for groceries. There's nothing we can't do with this car that we could do with the van."
Mary peers over her shoulder and makes a long, slow study of the backseat. When she turns to look at him again she's smirking. "I guess you're right," she grins.
