Team Sam: gen fic recs
I'm horribly behind in reading the fic that is coming out of the current spn-summergen exchange, but wanted to rec three Sam-centric or Sam-involved ones that I've enjoyed so far.
Title: Fortunate Sons

Summary: Pilot AU. Twenty-two years after a fire and a divorce, the Winchesters have somehow turned out okay. Dean is attending the FBI Academy, and Sam’s on his way to law school. And then Mary gets a phone call from Sam’s girlfriend that will change their lives forever.
Reccers notes: This fic is happy-making only in the fact that I love the AU setting, I love the 'what-ifs' where Mary doesn't die and the boys didn't grow up in a life of hunting.
Title: (Show Me How to Be) Whole Again

Summary: Post-7.17. After getting out of the hospital, Sam’s exhausted and skittish. Dean’s still processing everything. Together they deal.
Reccers notes: A dash of angst in this, as they're both wrung out and bone tired. But it wins props for the quiet way they heal and support each other.
Title: Of Clowns and Pie
Word Count: 2433
Summary: Post "Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie", Sam tries really hard to keep Dean's good mood going.
Reccers notes: I really like the simplicity of the scene and the Sam POV. The brotherly affection shines through all the glitter and then there's pie.
