Bobby would be the first to admit that most hunters were a little 'damaged', but none seemed more so than Gerard. In their long, reluctant association, Bobby had always disliked the man and he was certain the feeling was mutual.
"Oh, so it was just a couple of spooks," said Gerard, voice dripping with disdain in response to Bobby's proud description of his boy's latest exploits. He refilled their whisky glasses. "Now werewolves, let's face it, are the only game in town for real hunters."
Bobby downed his drink in one and suppressed the urge to punch the man in his smug, ugly face.
"Did I tell you how my Kate wiped out a whole family of curs in one swoop?"
"Several times," grumbled Bobby, helping himself to another drink.
"-she burned their house down with them in it," Gerard chuckled.
Monsters or not, the thought of trapping folks and killing them in their own home put a sour taste in Bobby's mouth that not even the burn of alcohol could hide.
The Winchesters might not have the prestige, high-tech weaponry, and fancy family motto, thought Bobby, but, in terms of being actual decent human beings, they were definitely winning.
