Donna had always believed in the adage, ‘first impressions last’.
Her first impression of Doug was that he was a charmer. But he was handsome and funny and ambitious, so she’d ignored her instincts. As a result, she’d spent many miserable years being criticised and demeaned. She’d never make that mistake again.
When she first met Sam and Dean at the Canyon Valley spa, she was depressed and overweight. Yet Dean’s simple statement, “Doug’s a dick. You deserve better”, and Sam’s agreeing nod reminded Donna there were good, honorable men out there.
That first impression was the first day of the rest of her life.
