Sometimes it was simple things that made Bobby remember. The sound of kids laughing. The sight of a little boy eating an ice cream. Today it was the smell of the hot dog stand in the park.
“Can I have ‘nuva one, Uncle Bobby, please?” Dean’s big green eyes pleaded with him. “They’re so delish-delisk…they taste so damn good.”
Bobby laughed and ruffled Dean’s hair. “They sure are delicious. And as little Sammy there ate most of yours, you can have another one.”
“Jeez, thanks, Uncle Bobby!” Dean grinned. “Can you say delicious, Sammy?”
“Dee! Dee! Dee!” Sammy squealed happily.
