“A what?”

The Winchesters stared at Ketch and Mick, who stood before them, reading from a tablet showing the British Men of Letters’ database.

“A Chromatafey,” stated Ketch, matter-of-factly; “it’s a malevolent faerie that’s attracted to a particular colour.”

“You’re making this up,” snapped Dean.

“I assure you we’re not,” replied Ketch is his usual casually superior manner.  “I concede, they’re usually found back in the celtic regions of the British isles, but we’re in modern times now and just as we have, they’ve found ways to migrate all over the Earth.”

“Anyway,” interjected Mick; “this nasty little bastard seems to be attracted to the colour pink.”

“That’d explain why most of the attacks have been on little girls,” replied Sam.

Mick nodded; “spot on, Sam.”

“So, what are we waiting for?”  Dean snorted, “let’s go, gank us some creepy faerie asshole!”

“Woah there Captain America,” Ketch drawled; “let’s just check.  No-one’s wearing anything pink?”

“Nope,” replied Mick.

“Uh, no,” replied Sam.

“Dude, seriously?” Dean grunted.

“Just making sure you’re not exploring your feminine side, Dean,” Ketch remarked with a condescending smile.

“My fist is gonna explore your freaking nose,” growled Dean.

LATER…

“There it is,” Ketch whispered.

“Okay, get the oak sap dart ready,” Mick replied; wait, ‘ang on, where’s it gone?”

Sam scanned the woodland for the small gnarly figure when…

“OOW!” Dean leapt up behind them; “it freaking bit my ass,” he yelped.

“There it is,” shouted Sam; “it’s on his leg.”

Ketch spun round and aimed the blowpipe at the creature.

“Damnit Dean, stand still.”

“I…can’t…” Dean yelped; hopping and gyrating frantically as he tried to dislodge the creature; “It’s freaking… gnawing…ON…MY…LEG!!!”

“Dean,” Sam yelled; “are you sure you’re not wearing anything pink?”

“NO!  I’M NOT WEARING ANYTHING PINK, I’M NOT, I NEVER HAVE… EVER.  SHUT UP SAM!!!”
