Since returning to earth, Mary knew she hadn’t been the best mom to her boys.
Trouble was they weren’t her boys - they were men she barely knew.
But she wanted to try to be a better mom, and what better way than to cook them something.
She knew Dean had been disappointed that the pies he remembered her baking had been bought at Piggily Wiggly.
So, she’d make a pie. How hard could it be?
Covered in flour, hands caked in nasty-looking-pastry, she threw away another failed attempt.
She sure hoped there was still a Piggily Wiggly in Lawrence.
