Applause ripples through one of the more illuminated pits of Hell. Crowley looks expectantly at a trio of high-ranking Demons as he finishes his ballad. The first raises two cards, each showing a ten, but there’s no surprise there. That one would lick the flames right off of the Hell King’s feet if he thought it would get him somewhere.
Crowley narrows his eyes, flames licking his pupils with fury, as the second Demon holds up a 9. Boos and hisses erupt from his followers. As the third Demon raises his card, Crowley also raises his hand. With a flick of his wrist, the Demon explodes, his scorecard turning to ashes before it can hit the floor or be seen by Crowley’s audience.
The King of Hell smiles, and his so-called fans erupt. He knows they all want a piece of him just as the first judge does for what it will get them, but tonight has been kind of fun. He’d missed singing karaoke with Dean, but now he’s got two of his favorite passions rolled into one: singing karaoke and inflicting his wrath. The second Demon quickly holds up a ten instead as Crowley looks in his direction.
