“Gabe, how many times have I told you to stop pranking your brothers? Hmmm?” Chuck said. He hated the thought of punishing Gabriel as his latest escapade was a good one, but Michael was angry and demanding “justice.”
“Dunno, Father…”
Chuck covered his face with his hand and sighed, before running his hand through his hair. “I think you have too much free time on your hands.”
Gabriel blinked. “Yeah?”
Chuck nodded. “Here,” he said, handing Gabriel a small, mewling bundle. “Look after it and for Heaven’s sake, don’t corrupt it!”
“Yes, Father.” Gabriel looked properly contrite, but inside, he was grinning from ear to ear. Unlike his fellow angels, he liked little Castiel.
Yes!! Now I have time for my new hobby… Chuck grinned. I wonder if I can get Metatron to write it all down for me… His handwriting is so much neater than mine… “Later!”
Gabriel watched him go. He looked at his little charge and grinned when the baby angel cooed at him. “We’re gonna have the time of our lives, Cas. I might have promised Father I was going to be good, but I said nothing about teaching you to have good sense of humor.”
