Title: Obligatory Mistletoe Fluff
Author: bone_lotus
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: pg
Genre: Holiday!Fic and shameless fluff
Summary:"Dean, why is there a plant hanging from the ceiling?" (The title pretty much says it all.)
Disclaimer: Try as I might, Eric Kripke still refuses to sell me the rights to Supernatural, something about not wanting to turn the show into gay porn, idk.
Warnings/Author's Note: I've never written fluff before. I'm right there with Dean on the 'No-chick-flick-moments' stuff so I have no practice writing mushy-ness. I can't guarantee that this fic is up to snuff (or at least my usual level of ability.)
"Dean, why is there a plant hanging from the ceiling?" Cas asked, somehow looking up and tilting his head in confusion at the same time. "It's mistletoe, Cas. You're supposed to kiss under it." "Oh," Cas replied, "...can't people kiss in all locations?" Dean laughed. "That's not how it works, Cas. When two people meet under the mistletoe, then they have to kiss." Cas looked very thoughtful "Okay." He said with something in his voice that Dean couldn't recognize.
Both Dean and Cas spent the next few hours decorating while lingering near the mistletoe; trying to act as if they weren't trying to linger by the mistletoe. Around hour three it finally happened, mostly because Cas decided that he had waited long enough and approached Dean as he was standing under the mistletoe, staring at the tree to make sure it wasn't tilting in the stand. Cas tried to make it look like he wasn't purposely walking up to Dean under the mistletoe so that he could kiss the hunter.
When Dean realized that Cas was standing very close to him under the mistletoe. He looked up at the plant and shrugged his shoulders as if to say 'well, I guess that if I have to...'. Cas didn't believe him for a second.
Dean put his hand on the back of Cas' head, his fingers tangling in the angel's hair as he pulled the other man into a gentle kiss. Cas opened his lips immediately and Dean let his tongue slip between the plush pink pillows. Either Cas was a natural at kissing or he learned quickly because it was the best kiss of Dean's life. Their tongues tangled gently for a moment before Dean slowly pulled away.
Cas wasn't having any of that so he grabbed Dean by the lapels of his leather jacket, pulled him close enough that their hips met, then pushed him against the wall, joining him, standing even closer and kissing Dean deeply and passionately. He nipped at Dean's bottom lip and Dean opened his mouth. Cas slipped his tongue into Dean's mouth and teased Dean, flicking his tongue against Dean's and then flitting away when Dean tried to keep the contact going. He explored Dean's mouth, mapping his teeth and the roof of his mouth before giving Dean what he wanted and tangling their tongues together.
Dean broke away for air and panted harshly while Cas looked back up at the mistletoe, looking thoughtful. "Dean," he asked when the man finally caught his breath, "what would I need to hang from the ceiling that would compel us to have intercourse?"
