Somehow, her smile and smarts had cut through the pain that surrounded Sam's heart. They had cured her and it was apparent that she liked him. The opportunity was there. Sam just had to decide if he wanted to take a chance.

His brain tried to compute the odds of getting hurt. His heart leapt at the chance of loving again. So, when Madison had kissed him, he responded with all the passion he'd been holding back.

They had an amazing night of love. It had felt so good to get lost in someone to the extent that it was hard to tell where one body ended and the other began.
