What happens when you don't stay overnight after being shot? Well complications, that's what!!!! Infection? Internal bleeding? Take your pick.

I can't believe Sam wasn't in hospital for longer actually. He was shot, kinda died, fought and killed 3 werewolves, drove the impala and applied his own dressing. Surely he needed to stay in hospital for at least a few days (aside from being Sam Fucking Winchester of course *g*)

I think they were both in hospital an unspecified amount of healing time actually - if you look at Dean's face in that final car scene, his bruises are faded. Surely they wouldn't have bothered doing that if they weren't intending to indicate some time had passed?

Ah! Good point. I didn't notice that. But yes, they had to be in there at least overnight. They were both is bad shape.

Yeah, I figured they had to stay a little! (not that they wouldn't try to Winchester it out of there as quickly as possible, heh.)
