CVTFPDF: Your saving grace

Warning! Extreme geekery lies ahead.

I needed an equation to determine the significand and exponent of a floating-point value. The third link down on Google was to CVTFPDF. This is an IBM iSeries (formerly AS/400) assembly language mnemonic for, get this, "Convert Floating-Point to Decimal Form!" Sometimes, I wish everybody would throw away their PCs and upgrade to the almighty System i*.

* Free advertising for IBM thrown in, because I think they need it. Also, my parents' neighbor has been working with an AS/400 for years and claims it's the best thing since sliced bread.

google, assembly, floatingpoint, ibm
