"I got a barrel that's blue and cold"

Okay so today at work, me and Ian walk in in the morning, and there's bird shit all over the paper dock. I guess someone left a door open somewhere on the Alaska dock. In the dog food section, there were crows everywhere. It looked like Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." Being the cleanup guy on sundays, Jeff Fritz was assigned to walk around with a bb gun and shoot the birds. Normally there's some crazy old guy in dog food salvage that does this, but he's off on sundays. Anyway, it was pretty much the best day of Fritz's life. He was like a bb gun ninja. You would barely ever see him, you'd just here a click, then rapid pumping of the gun. It was hilarious. He basically just went ape-shit with that thing all day. I even picked a couple of cases that had drops of blood on them. I asked Brian, his carpool buddy how many he got, and he said Fritz killed like 30. It was nuts.

In other news, the cavalier finally had the catastrophic failure that I knew was comming. I thought it would be one of the axles, or the cooling system or something, but it turned out to be the clutch/flywheel. I was getting off the 599 on my way to work, and as I downshifted into 3rd, something in the clutch just let go. It sounded almost like the pessure plate or the flywheel broke in half. I nursed it into the parking lot where it still sits now. I already gave it to Jason Hansen from work, since he needs a car, and I'll be damned if I pay to have that thing fixed. So I had my dad pick me up from work, he said they'd co-sign a loan with me since I still don't have credit. I drove the woody to work saturday, which sucked. Then, at the family Christmas dinner, I remembered that Dave was selling his truck. He told me he'd sell it to me for $1000. I got the keys from him last night, drove it to work today, then paid him after work. I don't need anything flashy/fast to get me to and from work, so his ranger will do perfectly. It runs and drives almost like new, and it looks decent too. Dave took really good care of it. It doesn't have the speed or the power of my cavalier, despite also being a v6. It's a truck though, so who cares. Since I found transportation for so cheap, I think I'm going to try and save up for a bike still. Maybe I can get one by spring, just in time for summer.

Anyway sorry for boring you guys, but I'mma go to bed now.
