I woke up this morning with a sudden realization (epiphany is too formal for this?) that I'd just like to share with all of my friends, from everywhere:

All of my friends speak proper English, even online.
All members of Bulaklak speak proper English, not usually online, but we can, and usually do, on the phone.
All of my net-friends speak proper English, or I don't talk to them.
All of my relatives speak proper English (although we are fucking country as hell!).

I know this is totally obvious, but, beyond looks, interests, location, hobbies, etc. ...you communicate with people that understand you and that you can understand.

If someone spoke slang to me, I wouldn't look down on them, but I'd be confused.
When I talk to most people online, they have such a loose grasp on how to communicate with text that I have no idea what they're saying.
When children talk to us, they think they're making perfect sense and we're using too many words. We think they're babbling and we make sense.

Birds of a feather flock together and we all sing the same song. *flutter*
