Jess's Birthday
So I am glad. Jess had an awesome birthday yesterday. She seemed pretty happy about the whole day. Her school buddies went out to lunch with her and of course it was chinese food! They got her a cake. Then Jess went out shopping with her friends, Shawna and Brandon. She got some fancy shoes that are part casual and part athletic. Neat. She was obsessed with Brandon's new shirt too that he already stained.
I had to study all morning then take a two and a half hour test then sit in my "favorite" class (Economics) for a miserable hour and fifteen minutes. Then I had to drive for an hour and a half. But it was all worth it. Got to take my Sweetie out to dinner after she opened the presents I got her. She liked them; all four Family Guy volumes, the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and of course season 5 of 24.I already gave her the big present back over the weekend, her sweet new car stereo with a connection for her Creative Zen and also a USB port so people who have songs on a USB thumb drive can plug it in and listen to their tunes while driving around in Jess's Neon.
She was disappointed I didn't get her a Nintendo DS, but she has 6 finals next week and can't be distracted by a shiny new toy! She understands, I think.
After we went out to dinner and she opened all her presents, we had some champagne and then went out to Margarita's with her buddies Ben and Brandon. That was fun, I got to know the two of them a little better. I was surprised that they both knew who the President's of the United States of America were. I thought that was one of those obscure bands that nobody knew about. Ben sorta got me into Three Days Grace by pointing out a song that they did that was playing at the restaurant. I listened to the whole cd today. It's not bad, I'll have to give it a few more listens to see if I like it for real.
I can't wait to be done this messed up semester that I missed a month of and dropped a class during. Three more tests, a project and a couple of homework assignments. Can't wait! I gotta try and keep poor Jess sane this weekend and next week while she will be consumed by 6 finals. I don't know how, but I'll try.
