another year, yet another flurry of gayness. it's always amusing how the films are typically so clearly divided between boys and girls, each bucket having its own bog of cliche's and formulas that one can see night in night out. this year, there's a helluva lot more lady content, especially with the shorts, where there are count them 6! short ( Read more... )

Is this based on your experience? I think I've met about 50/50 gay ones and straight ones. That's certainly many more lesbians among male-to-females than among non-transsexual women.

the most comprehensive piece of population research to date, the transgender health inititive study in virginia found that 60% of trans women have had cis male partners in the past 6 months. (pg. 27)

Cool, so it's very close to the 50/50 number I estimated. I wouldn't be surprised if about 20% of that 60% is bi.

60% of trans women or 60% of sexually active trans women? Maybe the remaining 40% are not all lesbians. Maybe they just don't date.
