*A gigantic explosion rocks the center of Autobot City. When the flames begin to die down, a figure can be seen climbing from the crater. Prowl and Roadbuster climb from cover, and the Sarge moves ahead to investigate

*Shadow snarls and emerges from cover, shaking the debris from her back and hackles* You first, freak! *she pulls a frag grenade from subspace with her working hand, yanks out the pin with her thumb and hurls it at the Deadite*
Broadcast clambers over some chunks of a former wall and stares, first at the guy who appears to be the evil dude, then at the canine-styled mechanoids with Autobot symbols. "Now this is a trippy war zone," he comments, not directing it at anyone in particular. He didn't recognize the insignias on the mechs who had been chasing him, but the scenario is obvious enough: 'Bots versus bad guys.
The small screen in the middle of his chest flashes colors and then displays a number that increases from fifty to one hundred fifty. Then he turns his arms so that a pair of circular features are facing toward Deadite Prowl. Whether the mech is susceptible to sound frequency attacks, well, he'll find out in a few minutes.
There, from the sky, it's a bird -- it's a plane -- it's --
Wait, it is a plane. Starscream, still quite infused with his purple glowyness, comes to land beside Prowl. He eyes the spot where Roadbuster had been a moment before, then glances to Shadow and takes note of the odd-looking little silver bot also nearby. "Our forces have dwindled rather spectacularly."
He narrows his optics at Deadite Prowl. "I'm beginning to understand what it must feel like to be an Autobot, fighting against insurmountable evil. And you are abhorrently unnatural."
The Matrix save us if Starscream starts spouting vocabulary one would hear from Sunstorm.
"This needs to end, now." Violet lightning crackles around his arms, ready to be unleashed -- providing someone else doesn't do something first.
((I think that aside from Jetfire and Ash, that's word from what's left of our City Team.))
*Shadow glances over at the jet, visibly suppressing the 'Decepticon-shoot it!' instinct* Agreed. I vote we rush the thing, don't give it a chance to touch us.
*Prowl looks toward his Deadite clone, who merely floats in mid-air, arms folded in a gesture of boredom.*
I'm not sure if my howl will disrupt his control of my former body, the way it did the thing possessing Omega. As much as I hate to admit it, Starscream is probably our best shot.
*The Deadite begins to laugh. It is a cold sound, utterly devoid of emotion.* DP: Yes Decepticon, use your Chaos energies on me. All you will do is make me stronger. Give me the power to wipe this world from the map, and I might allow you to remain as my pet......
Or, you can make me take it from your broken shell. I'd welcome the chance to discover what the spark of someone like you would taste like. As for you Autobots, surrender, and I will make your deaths painless.
*growls low in the back of her throat, hackles raised* Hand to hand combat it is, then. *swaps out her gun for her knife and lunges at Deadite Prowl with a snarl, intending to get at his throat if she can*
*stumbles and whips around to face him* What? A hologram...? *hears him speak and rolls her optics* Uh huh. So either we die or we get turned into mindless zombies. No thanks. *half-crouches, ready to lunge again*
[Scomm: Prowl] If you and I combine an attack, maybe it wi-- [/scomm]
He cuts himself off as Shadow lunges. He starts to reach to stop her -- was she crazy? -- but then the Deadite disappears. When Shadow suggests a hologram, Starscream glares at the construct. "So tell me, Mister Smarty-undead, how can you absorb my attack if you aren't actually solid?"
[Scomm: City Team] And if this is a hologram, where's the real body? [/scomm]
[Scomm:City Team] Probably with the book, wherever that is. Prowl and I caught the scent of something that might have been it, but then this thing came along [/scomm]
