[Bobby realized several things at once and none of them were good. 1. He was no longer in the Taj Mahal, he knew he hadn't left it or anything yet, after all he'd only just finished writing his last journal...ever. Press was supposed to come to collect him soon to say goodbyes, so he had no desire to leave. But, here he was.
2. He did not recognize this place, he'd been to every territory, no, world at least once and this place did not look like any of them. True, it could have been a different time or place but he had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that this was not the case. Especially since his purpose had been served. It was supposed to be over.
It wasn't.
The golden hall was beautiful and reminded him of some of the nicer places he'd visited. Still, it was hard to admire it when he knew that he was supposed to be going back to Solara. He wasn't supposed to be jumping around worlds anymore. Heck, he wasn't supposed to EXIST anymore. But here he was and he had no idea what he was supposed to do about it.
Okay, wait, if he was just on another world then it should be nothing to just step back and be at the Taj Mahal again on Third Earth.
Bobby took a step back, willing himself back to Third Earth, but it didn't work. Instead he just physically took a step back, opened his eyes and realized he hadn't moved through time or space]
Well that didn't work. But what does that mean?
[Something tickled at the back of Bobby's mind. He wondered if maybe this place was somehow...separate from Halla and Solara. That didn't make sense though because weren't ALL worlds part of that. Solara was the spirit of mankind, right? This place was CLEARLY made by intelligent beings meaning that it SHOULD be part of Solara. Bobby sighed, his head starting to hurt.]
I've got the feeling things just got a heck of a lot more complicated.
