HALF FULL, HALF EMPTY?

Apologies-- this event was meant for this current week but due to LJ being a snotface it has been pushed a little bit.

It's time to reap what you sow...

EVENT: HALF FULL, HALF EMPTY

With the black beans being abused left and right and people actually bleeding within an inch of their lives-- and some even less lucky-- within the vicinity of Splendor for the first time ever since it has existed (the exact date, a secret!), Splendor itself is suffering some noticeable changes in the atmosphere.

Through the course of this week, a rain of golden sparks will float for a few hours, effectively reviving those who were casualties caught in recent developments. But to make up for it, the rest of the citizens must pay the consequences, as well. Splendor, not unlike Disneyland, doesn't like people to die within it's territory, so the only way it can compensate for all that spilled blood and all those lost lives-- even those who were revived with wishes-- is to take a little bit from everyone who is currently living in it.

And you thought you wouldn't have to pay taxes in a magical land.

Starting MONDAY, AUGUST 8TH and until SUNDAY, 14TH, no matter what you wish for-- big things, small things, a baby snail, a giant cuckoo clock, healing an injury.. everything will work only half way. That means in you wanted to create a pool, you'll only get half a pool (with half the water-- think of the tea cups being sliced in half in the animated Alice in Wonderland movie). If you want to heal a complete broken arm, you'll only be able to heal either the meat or the bone (and if you only want to heal the bone, you'll only heal half, and so on and so on).  What the half consists of is up to player's discretion, so no need to ask for permissions for this! However, there are no exceptions to the half rule, so please avoid all 100% accurate wishes as those will be impossible to be performed!

As usual, previous wishes won't be cut in half, but everything starting that day, will.

?????

Maybe you've noticed, maybe you haven't, but there are less and less Locals attending the booths and shops around the city. It's like they know something is coming-- and who knows, with all this failed wishes and them being forced to stand by idly as they watch these strangers just take advantage of their land, something just might be lurking about. After all, nobody likes it when someone else uses up all their magic supply-- but perhaps we've said too much.

Again, this is is only for the very observant, so feel free to ignore this ICly!
