ECLIPSE + ?????
There's a mini event taking place from July 8th to July 11th.
Be careful what you wish for because it might...... not come true at all.
MINI EVENT: ECLIPSE
In Splendor, there is a moon. Is it the same moon that shines over your world? Who knows. All you know is it bathes the night with its glow splendidly, not asking for anything in return. However, if you're truly observant, you might notice lately it's been acting... strange. Its shade is not the usual pale whitegreen, and it's slightly growing pink in color with each passing day. Then on July 8th, an eclipse will take place, and it will not be the kind you're used to. You see, eclipses in Splendor obscure sunlight for days, so it's gonna be dark out there.
What does this mean? During the duration of the event, you will notice you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WISH FOR ANYTHING. Not food, not medicine, no pianos, no pets, no blankets-- nothing. The beans and magic spells cast before it takes place will still work, however.
A post will be made to announce the beginning of this, but feel free to have your characters notice the changes in the moon since earlier on.

It's faint, but you will start to notice a distinct smell of roses suddenly all around the city, and the locals barely leaving their houses. The fragrance's origin can't be pinpointed yet, but you're free to have your character notice it since now. More information about this will be revealed later, so stay tuned!
