[ a blonde-haired woman with crossed arms, a pair of gardening scissors tucked grasped tightly in one hand, viewed the map in Splendor's city hall with keen eyes. the seal she had found in her possession upon arrival was more loosely held in the opposite hand, and she uncrossed her arms to hold the curious device to her mouth as if it were a radio

[He's not exactly keen on explaining this place to people, but - something she said caught his attention.]

[ she jerked back at the response slightly. it hadn't really seemed like a radio after all but she had no idea how the device worked. she was intent to find out though. perhaps she'd have to take it apart (though she would probably find that such a thing was an impossible feat if she tried). ]

Long story. [ she lamented, knowing she shouldn't say too much. in fact, she hadn't expected to be heard saying that part at all. still, the fact that he might know something . . . ]

Black Biker, you familiar?

[He briefly wonders how much he should say himself. Even if they are talking about the same person, it's not as if everyone in the city knows her like he does.

..then again, if this means she's seen her here..]

Depends. Are you from Ikebukuro?

[ that much seemed to confirm her curiosities. he did know something. ]

That is my place of residence, yes. Yours as well?

[ to say she was "from" Ikebukuro still seemed wrong, even if she would go so far as to speak Japanese in Japan at all times. it was not her place of origin and it did not take a genius to figure that much out. ]

[so they were talking about the same black bike after all. he felt a twinge of anxiousness build up inside of him - it's not as if he'd be happy if anyone else became stuck here, but her company would be better than some.]

Yeah. That black bike - you've seen it here?

[ they were obviously doomed to misinterpret each other. ]

Not here [ she began to say before assuming the same of him ] -- it is here?

[ she was frustrated not to have all of her tools on her, because she was about ready to go tracking them right now after she made such quick conclusions. ]

Ah.. No, if it's here, I haven't seen it.

[his heart did sink a little, but it was at least good that Celty wasn't stuck here. furthermore, it definitely didn't seem like the woman on the other end of the seal knew her on a personal level, so it was probably best not to speak too much.] Sorry.

[ she certainly didn't know her -- she didn't even know she was a female -- but that didn't mean she wasn't going to pester for more information now that she was aware he had some. ]

Affirmative. It is unfortunate.

I inquire one more question. The one she is guarding, familiar?

Guarding?

[as far as he knows, that could mean just about anything, since half the time he's not even sure what kind of work she's really doing for people. he shrugs, though she can't see him.]

Sorry, not sure. You won't have to worry about it for a while, though.

[ she frowns. the picture she had of the girl was left behind with Slon. but the chances that she'd be here -- who knew if they were good or slim? she had already met this person from Ikebukuro. were there others? and if she came across that girl here, what would the good in kidnapping her be now? she would receive no reward if her client wasn't here as well. ]

Apologies, no relevance. [ she means to say that it's not so important after all.

Vorona didn't like to rely on others for answers. she would explore the area herself and make sense of the oddities through observation. to ask a stranger for information was just not in her best interest if she wanted to keep her identity hidden. this place was "Splendor." that was what the map said after all. but she had no idea how a person from Splendor was supposed to act or why she was here in the first place. these things would have to be sorted out. ]

[that was probably the best attitude to have with someone like Shizuo, who didn't like to waste his time explaining things to others. he wouldn't answer any questions unless she asked - despite being slightly curious as to why somebody was looking for Celty. this wasn't a voice he recognized.

[ they were both very concise and straight to the point sorts of people, which made conversation quick and efficient but not very relatable on either end. ]

Ahhh.. [These were the type of things that were the most difficult for him to try to explain.] Not usually. That one's sort of.. special.

[there's a sigh from his end, but he's not irritated - it's just never pleasant to be the one to break this to somebody.]

[ the thought to ask his name occurred to her now, but she hesitated upon doing so. it meant giving a name in return and not everyone thought "Vorona" was sufficient. ]
