....Any idea why the Locals get so worked up with violence?

[Curious cat is curious, since. Well. He's. Not exactly one to talk things through and much more prone to expressing his displeasure breaking things or punching people.]That was why, how, that girl....she spoke, right? That was new. Has anyone...tried to use this? Or, gotten into fights ( Read more... )

...Violence does seem like the only thing they react to at all.

Yeah. That's why I think we might be able to use that. Not sure how, yet, but...I dunno if anyone has tried anything before now or not.

[[This is the first time Fakir's considered putting down his pen and picking up the sword again.

...The complete opposite of what he chose to do back home.]]

Using something like violence could easily backfire, but it's the only thing we have so far.

I don't know if there have been violent acts against the Locals themselves.

I know it could backfire, but so far it seems to be the only thing to really get any sort of reaction from them, at least that I have noticed.

I'm betting violence against the locals themselves would be frowned upon even more then against the others who arrived here like us.

[Contemplating. He's no stranger to violence, really, it was amazing he lasted this long without getting into any fights, but he was always calmer without Yuki around.]

It might be a form of self-protection. If this place is responsive to our wishes, then it can easily grant wishes to hurt others.

....To hurt others? Wouldn't that be against their whole anti-violence and all?

[He hadn't thought of that, but it was possible there could be loopholes and exceptions.]

It's hard to say if it's the city or the locals that are specifically preventing violence.

The city might be unable to prevent that sort of wish from being carried out.

I guess we won't really know till it really starts on this whole wish thing?

Ah, yeah, don't bother trying to fight. Unless you want to test them, of course. [ heh ]

I'd be keen to. I'm just starting to get really restless and want to do something to getting home.

Any show of violence and you'll get them to show up. I'm not sure friendly sparring counts but if there's an intent to hurt anyone, they'll come running.

Maybe it's just our violence they have a problem with. We are uninvited guests, after all.

ginger_turmoil December 3 2010, 03:40:18 UTC
Still seems to be the only thing getting any reaction from them.

They do seem intent on ignoring us as much as possible. I get the feeling they consider themselves gracious for doing so.

Yeah, probably. Doesn't exactly give the impression of being too welcoming to us though.
