[ Two weeks. It was hard to believe that her entire life changed completely two weeks ago. Two weeks has it been since she found and turned that music box's iron key. She should have been crying and despairing over the path she was forced to take. Though she had already done that before she came here. Ever since the discovery of her family's true intentions, she has done nothing but mourn over the loss of her seemingly perfect life. It was different now. Akane knew better than to waste away sobbing over something that cannot be changed. Besides... Her head tilted up to the sky.
It was her first time in the Metropolis District, and it was far more peaceful than sitting in the Carter Estate. Most of all, it was a powerful reminder of her home back in Ikebukuro. The city of Splendor has become comfortable for her to live in. It would be even better if they gave her a different estate to live in. One last look at the entire city was enough for Akane to smile and move on to the water fountain.
For the first time in weeks since she was happy to say, "Splendor has become her new home." ]
