"I want to be someone's knight in shining armor today"

A reasonable wish, given the fairytale-esque scenery of Splendor. Somehow, the city took it literally enough to dress her up to look the part, though the sword

[ It's been a rough week for Firo. He's finally had to accept that Mao's gone when hours of searching turned up fruitless. That hasn't stopped him from continuing to look- just in case. And that's why he's scouring the area near the Wonderland District.

Hungary's rather unusual outfit catches his eye and he stops to stare at her in disbelief. He really shouldn't be too surprised; what's a fairy tale city without a knight in shining armor? ]

[Hungary continues searching around, a bit disappointed at how empty the city was today, when Firo caught her eye. Cute boys always caught her eye, and perhaps he would need some sort of assistance from our heroine! She waves to him, a smile on her face.]

Hello there!

Hey.

[ In his preoccupied current state he can't muster a smile in return, but he does approach her. He wants to ask about the crazy outfit, but he puts it off for the moment. There are more important questions. ]

Have you seen a kid around here?

[ He holds his hand about 5 feet above the ground. ]

About this tall, red hair.

[She thinks about the question long and hard before answering.]

I'm sorry, I haven't. You're looking for them I assume?

[ The answer's not too unexpected. He sighs and nods. ]

Yeah. His name's Mao and he hasn't been around for a few days.

I don't know him, but if you like I can help you look.

You would? Thanks. I'd really appreciate it.

Certainly! I just want to help people today, and this is as good of an opportunity for that as any!

By the way, what's your name? Mine's Hungary.

Firo Prochainezo. Nice to meet'cha.

[ The name sounds familiar. In fact, he's pretty sure a certain unpleasant someone spent some time there. ]

So you're one of those country people?

[pureheartedperv]

Nice to meet you, too.

Yep! I take it you've met some of the others already, then?

[immamartillo]

[ He nods and starts walking. ]

Yeah. Taiwan and Russia. There's a lotta you guys comin' from the same world, isn't there?

[ He tries not to sound jealous, but there is a small, selfish part of him that wishes he could have some of his friends here. ]

Yeah! We're all from the same world. Though some of us are coming from different times...

Has anyone from your home showed up?

[immamartillo]

Funny how that works.

[ He nods. ]

Two of my friends showed up for a while. One of 'em was from a different time, like yours.

It's so weird when that happens, isn't it?

Yeah.

[ He chuckles ]

But then it can't be much weirder than takin' people from different worlds.

This place is weird enough as it is, yeah. The whole wishing thing, too.
