[The woman's voice is clear and firm. It sounds more like a military report than a distress call.]
Pardon the interruption, if I can be heard at all... This is Locrian Sergeant Tear Grants speaking. Information on the dangers present would be much appreciated, as well as an inn or somewhere I can stay.

Tear! Tear, you're back!

Her fingers begin to tremble. She can't say anything. It's too terrible. It's some kind of sick, cruel joke...]

Everything she's ever wished for. The melody of the music box plays softly in the back of her mind. Her breath hitches painfully.]

She believes in his promise. She believes in the promise she made to herself, to take care of the beautiful world Luke helped save.
She just can't believe this.]

L-- Luke...?

Still... something in her voice makes him pause.]
Y-yeah? It's me... [beat] A-are you okay? Where are you?

Tear needs to hear him, too, and feel the warmth of his hand. Only then can she be sure of anything.]
I think this is some kind of city hall. It's the nearest landmark that I can see.

...oh. That was... that was the Golden Entranceway. And if she didn't remember it was called that, then... she didn't remember did she? It wasn't like Kid. She'd left after all, and she'd come back, but she didn't remember anything...
It... it was okay. It wasn't like... like anything major had happened or anything. Except the fighting with Alexander and him using his hyperresonance and her helping him and Guy after that... It was just... little quiet day-to-day things... having meals together and going places... things... things they hadn't really had time to do at Auldrant. Nothing major...

Shaking his head, he continued onward, quietly, not... really wanting to interrupt. He really liked her singing... Especially the Fonic Hymns. There was a faint jolt of surprise, hearing her go through the first six... then on. The Seventh... she'd learned it? It... it was pretty...
There... she was standing with her back to him, facing the Golden Entranceway... He waited behind her, waited until she'd finished singing the last fonic hymn, then held his hand up, hesitating for a second to do anything more. There was... there was something going on here. Something he didn't quite understand yet, but... in the end, he reached out and put a hand on her shoulder]
Tear?
