That would seem the case. [the impatient bite in his words is something he can't quite smother wholly; the whole explain himself thing is new and...annoying, even if covering his ass is a good idea.] It is new to me.

Have you any idea what it was that possessed you then? It would be rather terrible for it to become a common occurrence. [She takes note of the impatient tone and makes sure to take her time in choosing her words; annoying people never got old after all.]

Of course, that would be assuming that I should believe you. Who's to say you simply aren't lying to cover your tracks?
