Well... you can make wishes and they sorta come true! It's really weird... and the locals are kinda weird too and they don't like talking to us much--oh, um, there are lots of us who just showed up here 'cause we found that music box, but now the music box is gone, and anyway we don't know how to leave but sometimes it seems like people leave anyway, we just don't know how--

[[Deep breath, then another grin.]]

Wait, did you say...wishes?? [He followed what she was saying pretty well. The music box clicked, because he remember finding one just before getting here. And he had seen a few people walking around that didn't even seem to notice he existed. But wishes? That threw him.]

If you wish for something, you get it, just like that! But you hafta be careful or you probably won't get what you wanted.

Yeah, that's what I mean! It's really, really weird, but it works.

[[She scratches her head at that.]]

[Even after everything crazy and unbelievable he had seen where he was from, he wasn't so sure of magic. So now, he was going to test out this wishing thing.]

[[A slight frown of concentration forms as she... actually comes up with something to wish for. Then she speaks, a little more loudly than before.]]

I wish... for... a pair of toe shoes!

[[And indeed, a pair of ballet slippers fall right on top of her head. Blinking, she pulls them off and holds them up in front of the seal, for Mark to see.]]

See? Ah... but these are too big for me, I think....
