[One would think that just minding his own business in his house would be safe. Traveling was for Bobby, not him. So when he spotted the music box just after getting journal #22, he didn't think there was anything wild a crazy. Sure, it was out of place, but that didn't make it weird. After everything he had read in Bobby's journals, a music box

No, Mark, calm down it's all right. This place...it's hard to explain but you didn't travel here. I mean, were you even AROUND a...you know when it happened? [Bobby had been doing his best to keep Traveler/Halla/flume talk to a minimum but given the circumstances he was THIS close to dropping the whole thing and just speaking freely. It's not like "other worlds" wasn't already out of the bag here]
Listen. This place is called Splendor. No one is sure how but it's able to pull people here by using these music boxes. It sounds bogus I know but you HAD to have seen the music box, right? The point is...you're not the only one here who isn't supposed to be. Heck, even I'M not supposed to be here.

No, I...I wasn't. I was in my room, about to read your latest journal when-- [The music box that Bobby spoke of jogged his memory, and he gave a little gasp.] The music box! I think I opened it, and then. Then I was here. B-But...how can a music box send people between different territories? I thought only...you know whats could do that. [Following Bobby's lead in not saying the flume word. If Bobby didn't think it was safe to say, he sure wasn't going to screw it up. He learned from his last mistake.]

I thought so too. I can't claim to know much about what is going on Mark, I really can't, but we're together and seeing as I haven't heard of any other Travelers or Acolytes here...well it looks like we might be here for a reason. If the music boxes are connected to that I can't say because they disappear as soon as you get here.
But, I think we can figure it out if we keep our ears open. There are tons of other people here and someone is bound to know something.

You don't think...Saint Dane could be behind this, do you? I mean, he's not really playing by the rules anymore.
Reply
I...don't see how that would be possible Mark. I mean...Saint Dane's gone. You don't...remember?
[Even before he asks he has a bad feeling]
Reply
But....you were just on Zaada with him. As great as it'd be for this all to be over with, it's not.
R-Right? [He trusts Bobby, though. If Bobby said Saint Dane was gone, then he had to be gone. But how that was possible, Mark didn't know.]

Okay, Mark. I need you to come to the Bungalow District, unit number 3. We need to talk and I'm not sure this is the best place to do it. [Mostly because it will take awhile, not so much that he doesn't trust people overhearing this]
Short answer to tide you over though [he hesitates, wondering how to phrase this] It's...been awhile since Zadaa.

...The Bungalow District? [He hardly knew where he even was. How was he supposed to know where the Bungalow District was?
But that curiosity meant nothing when Bobby said his next statement.] It..has? But I just got your journal, before I got here. You were still on Zaada. [...And he's even more confused than he was.]

Right, sorry. The whole Saint Dane thing through me off for a minute. You just got here and don't know where everything is yet.
[Saint Dane, just saying the name again made him feel ill. He took a breath]
Listen, I'll come find YOU then. Are you still at that golden hall place? I'll explain it all then...or at least try.

Yeah, I am. I'll stay put, I guess. [Not that he was complaining. As much as he'd like to see what else this territory had to offer, he was completely content with waiting for Bobby.]

Bobby sorted out his thoughts as he ran. It was a long way from the Bungalow district to city hall so he had to slow down after awhile, his lungs burning from the run. After finally slowing to a walk, Bobby approached the hall and found Mark easily enough. Even with everything on his mind, Bobby broke into a grin as soon as he saw his best friend in person]
Mark! Over here! Man, do we have a lot to talk about.

If Bobby didn't look older over the Seal, he definitely did in person. He was a lot taller than Mark, just showing the age difference there. He seemed more mature in more ways than one, making Mark really wonder what had happened since the last journals he had received.
But he pushed aside all worries and concerns about Bobby and focused on the fact that he was right there. He was with Bobby again, and even though this was some really weird situation, getting to see Bobby again was great.]
We really do. We really, really do. [He had so many questions, but he was waiting until Bobby said it was clear.]

Yeah. We'll get to that. Tell me, did you get a key or something when you got here? It'll give us a clue as to where we need to head so I can show you where you're staying...and while we walk I promise we can talk.
[Bobby fished into his own pocket and produced the key to the bungalow] It might just be in your pocket if you haven't seen it.

Where did I....? [He trailed off, staring confusedly at the key. How did he get a key around his neck? It wasn't there before he got...here.
Man, this place just kept getting more and more confusing.]
