[If you happen to be hanging about the Golden Entranceway today, you will find a rather well dressed young girl flitting about the area, bouncing from NPC to NPC and bombarding them with questions. This... is about as fruitless as one would expect it to be. Eventually she spots a new person and swiftly approaches, looking frazzled but determined ( Read more... )

[Nura was walking around the Golden Entranceway, her hands in her big pants pockets, looking around for any sight of Legion or Legion flight ring. She'd heard that this was the general spot of arrival for anyone coming into Splendor, so she usually made a stop here every day to check and see if perhaps any of her friends or someone she'd recognize, would be there waiting.

Finding no one she knew once again, Nura sighed a little gloomily. Oh well...maybe some other time...

She didn't so much mind the disappointment...

But her attention went quickly from her feet to the young girl in interesting garb, moving about the Golden Entraceway with a very determined look to her a little up ahead, as she tried effortlessly to gain the attention of the locals. Nura moved forward, deciding that she'd offer some assistance, since it looked like the girl had been going at this for quite a bit. She waved her hand in the air, raising her voice a bit so she could be heard over the sounds of the room.]

I can help you, if you'd like.

[Zelda spins around excitedly upon hearing the voice, but visibly hesitates upon spotting Nura. It is very obvious that she finds something quite odd about her. (hint: it's her clothes) However, there's no time to worry about that! Someone had finally offered to help her, and peculiar garb or not she wasn't about to turn them down! Nodding determinedly, the young princess approached.]

I appreciate the offer, thank you very much. [she curtsies~] I am Zelda, princess of New Hyrule, and as much as it embarrasses me to say it, I seem to be lost. If you could direct me to the nearest train back home, I would be very grateful.

[Men's clothing was very comfortable to Nura since she arrived in Splendor. Sure, the women's clothing was tidy and form-fitting and accented her curves well, but Nura had become addicted to the comfy feel of trousers and long shirt since Allen helped her out when she first arrived, indecently dressed, she'd come to wear the garb happily. For today, she was wearing boots, pants that went past her knees, and a long shirt that offered no hint of femininity.

At Zelda's announcement of royalty, Nura attempts to curtsy as well. She'd had to do it before in the presence of the Legion's resident princess before.] Welcome to Splendor, Princess Zelda. My name is Nura.

[At the request for directions toward a train, Nura blinked, bemused.] I'm sorry, Your Highness, but there are no trains in Splendor. [Were there?]

Thank you Nura, it is a pleasure to meet you. [Her smile fades at the mention of a lack of trains; how was she supposed to get home now?]

Hmm. I suppose I could walk, though that is something I would like to avoid. Are there any other means of transportation outside Splendor?

[Nura shook her head.] Not that I know of.

Ah... [She folded her arms, thinking for a moment over her words.] If you don't mind me inquiring, Your Highness...but where are you planning to walk to?

Home to New Hyrule, whatever direction it may be.

Oh. [Poor dear. This was going to be a bit of a shock...] I'm sorry, Princess...but there are no known ways out of Splendor.

...That's not a very funny joke, Nura. [She is joking, right?]

It's not a joke, Your Highness. [Her face was composed of grim truth.]

[She wants to panic. She wants to scream at Nura, tell her she's wrong, that she's lying, but... What reason did she have to lie about something like this?

She sighs wearily.] No, I suppose it is not.

[Nura felt bad for upsetting Zelda, even though it wasn't her fault that they were both stuck here. She reached up and moved some hair over her shoulder.] I'm very sorry, Princess, but you should know that there is research being done on how to return us to our respective homes.

[She tried to attach a perking smile with this new bit of information.]

[...Aww, she's trying to cheer her up. Zelda appreciates the sentiment, and meets that smile with one of her own.]

Yes, I would imagine so. It does seem like the residents here want us to leave as quickly as we ourselves do.

Yes, the residents are very... [She glanced at a resident out of the crowd briefly. It did get under Nura's skin a bit that they ignored practically everyone under the mark 'visitor'. Weren't visitors supposed to be welcomed warmly?] ...eager to get us out of their home.

[She placed her hands on her hips, standing straighter.] Though there's also something else you should know: there are strange happenings around Splendor. [Better she learned now, than later, like Nura unpleasantly did.]

Strange happenings? What do you mean, exactly?

[Nura was about to divulge the details...but she stopped. She didn't really want to tell the young princess everything with the locals around. While they were unhelpful and unresponsive to her and the other otherworlders' attempts at conversation, who knew what could really be going on.]

Now would not be a good time to tell you, Your Highness. Maybe later once you're situated with your housing.

[She cocked her head to the side, seeing if maybe Zelda was wearing a key around her neck like she had when she'd first arrived.] Do you know where you're staying?

Reply

trainedprincess October 24 2010, 05:32:05 UTC
...All right, if you say so. [She paused to inspect the key around her neck at Nura's inquiry, then looked back up to her.] If I am to believe this, it is a place called Gilded Castle.
