[Usually, she would have protested about staying inside but the eclipse has been making her feel ansty. That doesn't mean she won't be worried about him either.]

[Sighs.] Okay, I will. [a beat] Um, Riku?

[Shiki, you have no idea how very glad he is that you aren't arguing with him about this.]

[She heaves another sigh. He can't see it but there is a tiny, somewhat anxious smile on her face.]

[Huffs.]

I mean it, Riku! If I hear anything about you getting into trouble, I'm coming in after you and you can't stop me.

[He smiles to himself, though- or perhaps especially because he knows she'll do it.]

Alright. Then I won't get myself into any trouble I can't handle.

[Or you know, give his best to anyways.]

... You promise?

[a beat]

Do you absolutely, positively promise you won't?

[justabignobody]

...I promise.

[He intents to keep it too; there are only few people he'd give an outright promise like this after all and he definitely doesn't want to disappoint or worry her.]

[spazalot]

Good.

[Sighs in relief]

... I'd make you pinkie promise but it's a little weird to do it over the seal, huh? [chuckles]

[justabignobody]

[Riku chuckles driely.]

Just consider your pinky shacked.

[If she's making him promise, he might as well do it properly.]

I'll hold you to that.

[Shiki lets out another breath, willing herself to calm down. She knows he can take care of himself, that she should learn how to trust him like she did with Neku in the Reapers' Game.]

If you aren't too busy, I'd like that.

[Because he likes talking to Shiki; somehow it's kind of soothing. She is the closest friend he has made here in Splendor.]

Okay! I'll just be hanging out in my apartment anyway.

[And Shiki has been grateful to Riku's company and support. Having him around has definitely made her stay in Splendor a far more pleasant one.]
