[The day's barely begun, but Trunks already knows it's going to be a good one. Not from any kind of precognition or instinct, of course, but from that feeling you get when you're about to cross a finish line or complete a big project. The activities on his itinerary

[ Kid walked along the pier until he saw Trunks, watching the other for a few moments. He'd actually shed his usual black suit for today and instead dressed casually in dark jeans, a plain blue t-shirt, and a black button down left open... thus as casual as Death the Kid ever got.

Putting his hand on the railing, he vaulted lightly down to the sandy ground. ]

[The sound of a landing onto the sand made Trunks pause in his motions. He turned to Kid, gave him a once-over and, once he noticed the hair-stripes, greeted him with a smile.]

Good morning, Kid. Glad you could make it.

Of course! Truthfully, I've been looking forward to it.

[ it wasn't a lie either. taking Shibusen's missions, the battles that those required, was so ingrained in him that having been in Splendor for so many months sometimes left him feeling in stasis ]

So have I. [Aside from wanting to get stronger, he's been curious about the other non-human warriors Splendor collected for itself.]

So... [he gestures to the side, to space for warming up] do you want a few minutes or something, or...?

you'll have to pretend all these fighting icons don't have guns in them >.>

[ In response, Kid grins and takes a stance, silently inviting Trunks to come at him whenever he was ready. ]

[Trunks grins back.

He takes his own stance and keeps still for a moment. What did Kid say again - agility, stamina, healing, non-human...

Trunks dashes forward, sending a punch out to greet Kid.]

[grimreaping]

[ Kid grabs Trunks' forearm as the punch closes in, using the other's momentum to flip Kid's body overhead and aim a solid roundhouse kick towards Trunks' back. ]

[Trunks pivots and raises a forearm to try and block the kick.]

[grimreaping]

[ The kick connects with his forearm and therefore doesn't have any noteworthy impact, so he springs back a few feet and decides to let Trunks make the next offensive move.]

[He charges again at Kid; once he's close enough to the other, he prepares to chop across his face with a stiff arm.]

[grimreaping]

[ Kid decides at the last moment to take the hit rather than dodge out of the way, hoping that by allowing him to get inside arms length it will open up an opportunity to drive his knee into Trunks' midsection. His head rocks to the side with the force of the blow. ]

[saiyajinsoul]

[Trunks curls in as the knee connects - solid hit, not bad, Kid. He drops into a crouch and tries to sweep Kid's feet with a kick.]

[grimreaping]

[ Kid vaults backwards using a handspring, capitalizing on his agility -- his mind flashing back to the fight against Free (or rather Free's illusion) when the werewolf was focused on hitting his legs, to eliminate Kid's biggest advantage. ]

Who or what is it you normally fight?

[He springs back to his stance.]

Androids. You?

[grimreaping]

[ Kid matches it with one of his own, though it no doubt looks strange with arms held at precise angles like a weird Kali statue. It gives them a moment to circle each other, looking for an opening. ]

Kishin -- demons -- and witches.

[saiyajinsoul]

[Trunks certainly thinks so, though you wouldn't know it by just looking at his face.]

What're they like? Do they use magic?
