[There's the sound of something sizzling and popping in the background, and the clatter of dishes being moved around. Mommy Souji is cooking dinner for tonight.]
Has anyone had any luck in the library, yet? I've already been there a few times, but I haven't found any books that help explain our situation.
[He pauses, because he's going to have

His rumbling, empty belly.]
Oh man, you're a lifesaver, partner. I didn't even think to get anything for dinner. [He leaned down over his bunk, fishing around under the bed for his sneakers. Like groceries, he hadn't thought to get any more weather appropriate clothing, either.] Be there in five!

You don't have any food in your cabin? [Shakes his head and sighs, even if he can't see him right now.]
See you soon. Don't fall into the snow.

Especially not when he slipped on some ice just off the front stoop, his bare hands catching a fistful of a snow to break his fall. Damnit, why did the powers that be have to put him here of all places? It was with a self-pitying drag to his step that he made his way to Cabin #2.
The lights and smoke rising from the chimney did a bit to improve his mood by the time he knocked on the door. Knocked again. Tried the handle...unlocked!]
Hey, Souji? I'm coming in!

Figures Souji's place would feel like an actual home.]
How's it coming? [He's still in the other room, shouting to be heard while he tugged off his snow-logged sneakers with some difficulty. His socks were soaked through, so off they went as well.]

Cold... [At least it's warm inside. She takes her shoes off too least she trudges melting snow through the cabin. She follows the smells and voices to the kitchen, poking her head in curiously.]
Ah... Hello.

And it wasn't that much longer when Naoto arrived, and his smile grew, glad that his friends were here, safe and sound.]
Hello, Naoto-kun. I'm glad you could make it.

Yes. [Her answer to the both of them. She inclines her head a bit toward Yosuke.] It wasn't that hard but I did not appreciate the snow.
[Her gaze strays to the food Souji is preparing, curious. Not that she can really identify anything he's doing.]

The snow isn't that bad, once you've gotten used to it.
[Said to Naoto, but also directed to Yosuke. Someone needs to get used to the snow eventually. But he turned the oven off, taking off one of the potholders.]
Maybe a little isolating if a blizzard ever takes place.

Yeah, you think this is bad, Naoto-kun. [He watched the pan leave the stove, looking almost mournful that it wasn't close enough to sneak a bit from.] Just wait until the cabins are buried and we're crashing on your couch.

[As awkward as that might be. The apartments were just big enough for her and her roommates. Two extra people would be... interesting.
But on to more important things.]
What are you making, Senpai?

[He smiled a little at that, though, and started bringing the dishes over to the table.]
I made some fried chicken, croquettes, green beans, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin bread.
I hope I made enough.

Dude, this looks amazing. [He was already scrambling for a seat, angling for the spot just in front of the fried chicken platter.] It must have taken you forever!

On the contrary you probably made too much. [But they do have Yosuke here so maybe he didn't make enough after all. Time will tell.
She goes and washes her hands because she's proper like that. And she will also take at least one dish to the table as well to help out.]
It looks very good. Thank you.

Also inviting anyone to come have some as well. Not many people seem to have food in their new homes. [Or cooking skills, but he didn't need to mention that as he smiled at Naoto and followed her with the last dish, setting it down on the table.]
You're welcome. Help yourselves.
