[Certain footballers be jumping at the sound of gunshots. Kotaro runs toward the source of the sound in order to spit some sense into the culprit.]

Are you trying to kill something!?

[...but he calms down a little when he sees Alice standing there. Kotaro points the comb at Alice as a greeting.]

...Uh, you're really bad at that.

[ W-WHA!? Oi! No one was suppose to see him doing this! Then again he should have expected curious people to frolic over to the random sound of gun fire.

He festers up a kind of boyish grin. ]

A-ahh... Practice makes perfect right?

[Have that same grin shot right back at him. He seems happy that somebody seems to have the same ~*~PASSION~*~ for something like him.]

Exactly! I do a thousand kicks every day!

I want to be the best kicker! That's how Bando is going to win the Christmas Bowl next year!

The Christmas Bowl is the biggest, smartest high school tournament of the year. We, the Bando Spiders, are going to win smartly with the kick game!

That's right, it's a sport! The best kind of sport!

[That would be a beautiful game... Just Kotaros and Musashis proving their manliness through their kicks, that is his dream...]

[ A sport of kicking... ]

You... kick each other? Isn't that, painful?

What kind of sport is that!? You kick the ball!

Oh-! A... ball is involved?

So it's a game of who can kick the ball the furthest?

[ Queue little mind images of those many Kotaros trying to kick the ball furthest.

At last the ball is kicked far! So far it shatters the moon! Ooohh! Ahhh! Cheers from the many Kotaros. ]

A football. It's shaped like this.

[Kotaro motions the shape of the ball and continues to talk with his hands, acting out all the motions.]

The point is put the ball in the other team's goal. You can do that by field goals -- kicking! -- or touchdowns. For a kicker to do his job, somebody has to hold the ball on a tee like this. That's when the kicker does their job! Me! There are many kicking techniques. Sometimes I kick it to the opposite side of the field, or sometimes to my teammates with an onside kick, and then there's scoring! It's smart!

[It's scary how correct that mental image is, except Musashi is the one who kicks balls past the moon.]

[ Just. Staring. All those hand motions-- is this some kind of tribal dance??

He gives a soft hum. ]

Hmm, I'm playing a game myself.

Ain't a game by yourself boring? What kind of game is it?

I'm not the only one in it, there's a few others...
But I'm the main piece to the game I guess you could say.

[ He pauses, eyes lingering down to the gun in his hand. ]
