[ Somebody is flying around the Golden District today. Somebody also had the brilliant idea to wish for the powers as that of Superman-- permanently. That's right.
America didn't wish for all of Superman's powers; he would like to get a good grasp on a few at a time-- and boy, flight is hard enough as it is.

[She catches a glimpse of him outside and in the air flying, blinking. Was that...Alfred? What was he doing and how was he even. But. Oh crap. That could have hurt. So here, have Ramona running over and bending over him, tucking a strand of blue hair behind one ear.]

Are you well? [She will. Get to the Superman get up after assessing how injured/brain damaged he is.]

[ America groans slightly upon hearing somebody looming over him-- this means he has to get up and act like nothing happened. So, adjusting his glasses, which now have a crack in them, he doesn't feel the slight trickle of blood run down his nose from impact.
Seriously. She always catches him when his nose is bleeding.
Brushing himself off, he flashes Ramona a smile. ]

Do not fear, citizen! This sort of thing happens all the time to us heroes! Ahhh, some time our flying ability goes crazy and it's hard to steer! The honest truth, I swear it!

I know you have a boyfriend, but I don't think he'd mind you checking me out a little.

Oh, I'm sure it does.... [Well. The number of times she had seen Scott get punched or kicked by one of her exes, after all.....But she sighs, a small, long-suffering type smile as she gives him a look.]

Considering, you don't look too hurt, at least. You wished to fly, huh?

[And a pause and laugh at that as he shoves his arm at her face.] As tempting as that offer is, Alfred, no thanks. [Because. Well. She realizes she really does love Scott, and she doesn't want to go back to her cheating ways again.]

[ DRAMATIC PULL ARM AWAY. Another triumphant pose. ]
Sure did! Our captors sure are gracious and generous to grant us our wishes like this!

...That they are. I should really think of something to wish for myself to give it a try. I just haven't decided what yet and I don't want anything too major in case it goes wrong....

[ He's listening-- kind of-- sort of. He's kind of floating and wobbling a bit.
Oh yes. And the giggling. He is giggling rather madly. ]

Huh-- what? Why don't you just wish for some kind of food to appear in your hands or something?

You mean like "I wish for an apple" sort of thi--what? [Pausing because suddenly there is an apple in her hands.]

Ahem. [ He sways his cape a little as he walks around to the other side of her and places an arm lightly around her shoulders. ]

It's because our captors are ALIEN GENUSIES. Even I cannot figure out how they're doing this, or why for that matter-- but that doesn't stop me from trying!

My God. I put a man on the moon, I can figure this shit out.

[That small, amused smile not leaving her lips as she listens, one eyebrow raised, not pulling his arm away from around her shoulders.]

Of course you can, Alfred. [In some ways, she supposes the reason she likes him is that he is so simple and honest. It reminds her of Scott.]

[ He grinned. SO WIDE. Then gave her several pats on her shoulder before pulling away, smiling pleasantly as he drifted off into a daydream. Hands on his hips, he puffed up his chest. ]

This place isn't so bad, but I'd like to go home. As I'm sure a lot of people do. I'll figure this out and get ALL THIS PRAISE.
Then I'll make a movie about me experiences here-- that's why I'm writing in my journal.

Well, I can't say about the girls, but I guess you'll find out eventually. Maybe.

That's one thing that helped me through the Revolution! Positive thinking, Ramona! Some people say it's just a way to get crushed, but I say it's a way to pull through!

I guess. I try to do that myself, positive thinking. Doesn't always work, but. If that helps sometimes at least.... [A shrug, glancing to the side a little.]
